Dashel was founded in 2017 by Catherine Bedford, after noticing a gap in the market for safe and stylish cycle helmets that are sustainably made here in the UK. Their mission is to encourage people to make more trips by bike.
Taking its name from the Cornish word for thistle (a colourful, protective flower), Dashel helmets are manufactured in Plymouth using 100% green and renewable energy. Dashel's rounded shape and peak ensures that is the safe choice for urban cycling. They also offer a recycling program for their helmets. If only all businesses thought as hard about the disposal of their products, as they did about the launch!
