We believe in calling for a climate action for a just transition now. We are dedicated to bringing about a greener, fairer and more equitable future and do this in a number of ways such as speaking out on issues we care about as well as supporting and raising awareness about climate positive businesses who are choosing to reject unsustainable, profit driven business models in order to fight climate change.

Climate action is central to our ethos. Check out some of the initiatives we endorse like the UK’s Climate and Ecology Bill, Stop Ecocide International and the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty among others and help to spread the word.

We’re certified B-Corp pending! Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

In addition to our climate action our platform is be powered by Krystal a UK based website hosting provider that uses 100% renewable electricity from the sun, wind and sea. This means no shady carbon offsetting, just a direct relationship between their UK datacentre and Ecotricity to power the facility with energy generated by 100% renewable sources.

We aim to help promote awareness of practices that consumer brands have adopted to encourage ethical and environmental sustainability. We do this by providing our customers with a curated selection of UK’s top eco-friendly brands that have a ranger of accreditations and certifications from reputable organisations.

In order to fight climate change, we require systems change. We can only achieve by ensuring that people are put at the very centre of the green and just transition. For this reason, we only work with brands who are committed to looking after their staff properly, treating them with respect, dignity and free from discrimination. We expect our brands to provide all staff with safe working conditions and hours of work and fair and equal pay in line with national laws. We expect all the companies listed on Ecoswap to maintain the highest standards of integrity and respect for human rights at all times. Any brand found to be in breach of these standards will be investigated and removed from the platform.
