Our mission? To make sustainable gifting fun, effortless, and accessible, while raising awareness of eco-conscious businesses and empowering people to shop in line with their values.

How It All Started

Like many great ideas, Ecoswap was born out of frustration. During Covid-19 lockdown, our Co-Founder Antony Gutsa went on the hunt for a sustainable digital gift card. Hours of searching later, he found… well, mostly greenwashing and not much else.

That’s when the penny dropped — what if there was a gift card that brought together only truly sustainable brands? Brands that don’t just talk the talk, but walk it too. And so, Ecoswap (originally called Dinkm) came to life.

“Dinkm” (from Aussie slang dinkum) means genuine, honest, and true — values that remain at the heart of everything we do, even though our name has evolved.

From Idea to Impact

In 2022 and 2023, we tested the waters with a marketplace full of ethical brands. The response? Huge. People loved the idea of ditching high-street giants for gift cards that actually make a difference.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve levelled up: Ecoswap is now a first-of-its-kind, multi-brand digital gift card, with a carefully curated line-up of certified sustainable partners. From natural beauty and zero-waste essentials to refurbished tech and recycled fashion — we’ve got it covered.
